Homegirl's Lemon Pepper Wings

Ingredients
  

Lemon Pepper Wings
  • 1 pack chicken wings
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 gallon peanut oil
  • 4 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning
  • 3 tablespoons garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Lemon Pepper Sauce for Wings
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of dried celery

Method
 

Lemon Pepper Wings
  1. Prep the wings. Cut the wing quarters in two pieces: drummettes and flats.
  2. Combine flour, 3 tbsp. lemon pepper seasoning, 2 tbsp. garlic salt, 1 tsp. pepper, and 1 tsp. salt. Mix well.
  3. Season chicken with 1 tbsp. lemon pepper seasoning, 1 tsp. pepper, and 1 tsp. salt.
  4. Cover chicken in flour.
  5. Fry chicken in peanut oil until golden brown or until pieces floats in the oil.
  6. Drain oil on a plate cover in paper towels.
Lemon Butter Sauce
  1. Combine 2 tablespoons of butter, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 tablespoon of dried celery, and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice.
  2. Heat until the butter is melted. Stir together.
  3. Pour sauce onto wings and toss in a bowl. Plate to serve.
